LASH SCHOOL PRODUCT LAB™
From Lash Artist to Product Owner

How do you know if the quality is good enough?
What should you ask the factory?
How do you calculate your cost price?
What should be on the packaging?
What documentation do you need?

SCOOP PRODUCT LAB™ is an intensive 8-week one-on-one mentoring program for lash artists who want to make the leap from working with other people’s products to developing their own.
You don't need a manufacturer, a finished product, or a fully developed idea.
We'll start where you are.
Develop your own professional eyelash product—from idea to manufacturer, product, brand, and launch plan

THIS IS NOT A “PUT YOUR LOGO ON A PRODUCT” COURSE
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE 8 WEEKS
The program is intensive.
We meet once a week for 2 hours over the course of 8 weeks.
That doesn't mean the manufacturer will necessarily be able to produce your finished product within 8 weeks.
Production, samples, design, compliance, and transportation depend, among other things, on:
the complexity of the product
manufacturer's lead time
the sampling process
changes
documentation
production
shipping
The goal of these 8 weeks is to give you the comprehensive knowledge, structure, and decision-making process you need to take your project all the way from idea to production and launch—without having to feel your way through it.
There are plenty of opportunities to buy an existing product and put your own logo on it.
This is something else.
You'll learn to think like:
Product Developer + Brand Owner.
From:
“I’d really like to make my own eyelashes…”
to:
“I know what product I want to develop, what questions to ask the manufacturer, how to evaluate samples, how much the product should cost, what documentation I need to have in order, and how I want to launch it.”
ONLINE OR IN-STORE
You can choose how your mentoring program will be structured.
ONLINE
All 8 modules can be completed online.
This makes the program possible no matter where you are in Denmark or the world.
PHYSICAL
If you prefer in-person mentoring, the modules can be completed in person by arrangement.
Any transportation costs or special expenses will be agreed upon separately.

HOW THE PROCESS IS STRUCTURED
The course consists of 8 modules spread over 8 weeks.
Each module lasts a maximum of 2 hours, depending on how much feedback is needed.
Each session has a clear focus and a specific outcome, so you know exactly what to work on after the session.
-
We're not starting with the factory.
Let's start with the question:
What exactly are you going to develop—and why would anyone buy it?
In this module, we will be working on:
What product would you like to develop?
Who is the target audience?
What problem is the product designed to solve?
What makes this product different?
What should your USP be?
Premium, mid-range, or budget?
How does the product fit into your existing brand?
Should you start with just one hero product?
What products might be added later?
Product Name and Product Architecture
Positioning
By the end of the module, you will have:
A specific product idea, target audience, USP, and positioning.
Working between modules:
Please finish your product brief so that we can begin specifying the actual product in Module 2.
-
FROM IDEA TO PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Now the idea needs to be translated into something a manufacturer can actually understand.
We work with:
Product Features
Performance
Materials
Lengths
Thicknesses
Curls
Colors
Finish
Desired Product Characteristics
Quality Requirements
Packaging at a general level
What the manufacturer must be able to provide
Which specifications are non-negotiable
We'll also go over how to write a professional brief for a producer.
By the end of the module, you will have:
A completed Product Specification that can be used in discussions with manufacturers.
Working between modules:
You'll customize and finalize your specification so it can be used for supplier research.
-
Finding a factory is not the same as finding the right factory.
We work with:
Where can you find relevant manufacturers?
Alibaba and other sourcing channels
OEM vs. ODM vs. Private Label
How to Screen Manufacturers
MOQ
Prices
Production Capacity
Materials
Quality
Samples
Documentation
Communication
Lead Times
Red flags
How to Compare Manufacturers
We'll also go over the questions you should ask before spending money on samples or production.
By the end of the module, you will have:
A shortlist of relevant manufacturers + Supplier Questionnaire.
Working between modules:
You will contact manufacturers and gather quotes, information, and documentation.
-
Now the product is starting to take shape.
But we don't just accept any sample, because:
“It looks great.”
We work systematically.
We'll go over:
How to Order Samples
What to Test
Performance
Consistency
Materials and Finish
Ease of Use
Packaging
Shelf life and storage, where applicable
Feedback from professional lash artists
How to Document Errors
How to Provide Specific Feedback to the Manufacturer
Version 1 → changes → version 2 → final specification
By the end of the module, you will have:
A Sample Evaluation System and clear criteria for what needs to be in place before you approve the product.
Working between modules:
You test samples and document feedback.
-
A good product must also be marketable.
We're working on how the product should be perceived visually and commercially.
We'll go over:
Brand Identity
Product Name
Product Line
Colors
Visual Direction
Packaging
Labels
Product Information
Product Images
Product Descriptions
Premium positioning
How the product differs from existing brands
How to Avoid Spending Too Much Money on Packaging Too Early
By the end of the module, you will have:
A clear visual concept and a specific packaging direction.
Working between modules:
You will continue to work on design, packaging, and product materials in collaboration with relevant suppliers and designers.
-
This is one of the most important modules.
Because you can't just manufacture a product and sell it in the EU.
The specific requirements depend on the product category, which is why we are working to identify what applies to your particular product.
Among other things, we'll cover:
Relevant EU legislation
Corporate Social Responsibility
Product Documentation
Ingredient documentation, where applicable
Safety documentation, where applicable
CPNP, where applicable
Product Information
Label Requirements
Claims and Marketing
Importer's Liability
Documentation from the manufacturer
What documents you should request
What You Need to Ensure Yourself
Important: You won't just be learning how to collect papers from the factory.
You'll learn to understand what the documentation means and what you need to have in order before the product is sold.
By the end of the module, you will have:
A compliance checklist for your specific product and an overview of the documentation you need to obtain.
The mentoring program does not replace legal advice or a professional safety/compliance assessment where such an assessment is required.
-
MODULE 7
Now we need to make sure that your product can also become a business.
We'll go over:
Production Cost
MOQ
Packaging
Shipping
Import Costs
Customs duties, where applicable
Inventory
Sales Tax/VAT
Cost price
Wholesale price
Retail price
Avance
Break-even
Revenue per product
And most importantly:
How do you negotiate with the manufacturer?
You'll learn how to negotiate more than just the unit price.
Among other things, we'll look at:
MOQ
Sample fees
Packaging
Production Terms
Payment Terms
Lead time
Shipping
Quality Control
By the end of the module, you will have:
A comprehensive cost-price model, pricing strategy, and negotiation strategy.
-
Now let's put it all together.
The product has been specified.
The manufacturer has been selected.
The price has been calculated.
The brand and packaging are in place.
Now we need to plan the process from production to sale.
We'll go over:
Final Production Approval
Purchase Order
Production Control
QC
Shipping
Incoterms
Import
Inventory
Online Store
Product Descriptions
Pre-launch
Waiting List
Content
Influencers
Ambassadors
B2B Sales
Launch Offer
How to Generate Demand Before the Product Arrives
By the end of the module, you will have:
A concrete Product Launch Roadmap.

Throughout the entire process, we follow a single, comprehensive roadmap:

Meet Your Mentor
Maria WK
CEO and Founder of Scoop Beauty Concept salon, Vippeskolen Lash School DK, and manufacturer of exclusive eyelash products from Scoop Lash (2024–2026); experienced product developerI’ve been on the other side of the table myself and know just how many decisions go into creating a professional lash product—from materials, quality, and suppliers to branding, pricing, compliance, and launch. And how incredibly confusing it can be—and how overwhelming it can feel—to have to know it all. The consequences of not getting it right from the start can include financial and personal repercussions, as well as stress and worry. I wish I’d had a mentor when I started so I could have avoided even half the mistakes I made when I first began.
Through my work on my own product line from Scoop Lash in 2024–2026—which took me seven years to source—I have gained experience in sourcing, product development, supplier relations, and the creation of professional eyelash products. I have carefully selected my partners and applied the highest standards of quality assurance to my product designs. I’ve been able to do this solely because of my experience in the eyelash industry since 2014, when I completed my first training program.
Now I'm going to share the process with you.
I'll help you go from "I have an idea" to "I know exactly what to do next."
You don't just get a mentor who tells you what to do.
You’ll have a mentor who will help you ask the right questions, make better decisions, and avoid some of the mistakes I’ve seen—and encountered—along the way.
Your idea. Your product. Your brand. I'll help you get there.

The mentoring program is an intensive 8-week one-on-one program in which we set aside time specifically for you. For this reason, the program is generally non-refundable once it has begun.
Of course, you’re welcome to change the direction of your product along the way— that’s part of the process. If you get sick or need to reschedule a session, we’ll find a new time by mutual agreement.
We reserve the right to reschedule a session on short notice. -
It's a 100% personalized one-on-one mentoring program, so we focus exclusively on your product, your idea, and your brand.
There are no teams and no other participants.

No. We work together to identify and evaluate relevant manufacturers.
-
Yes. We can build on your existing brand or work on the idea of creating a completely new one.

That's perfectly fine. We'll start with the idea, target audience, needs, and positioning, and work our way toward the right product.
-
You'll learn how to communicate professionally with manufacturers on your own. We can review quotes, responses, samples, and correspondence together.
-
No. Manufacturers, delivery times, prices, quality, and regulatory requirements depend on external factors. I’ll help you with the process and the decisions, but you make the final choices yourself.

Yes, we review the relevant EU requirements, documentation, labels, and the compliance process for your product. However, this process does not replace legal advice or a professional safety assessment where necessary.
-
No. We also work with MOQs, samples, cost prices, and budgets so you can make decisions based on your financial situation and avoid tying up too much capital in the initial production run.

The most important thing is that you keep moving forward. We'll tailor the next session to where you are, but the program follows a set structure over 8 weeks.
